Feeding a Picky Eater

I needed a way to keep track of the few winning recipes I've found in my search to satisfy a husband that likes monotony and a wife that prefers variety at mealtime.

A Difficult Task

My husband has an interesting set of taste buds. He's an atypical picky eater. He is happy with some of the simplest of meals, will turn up his nose at merely the smell/look of a meal, loves leftovers (if it's one of his choice meals), and doesn't consider it a meal without rice (plain white rice). He is far from the gourmet diner and is content with cornbeef and eggs for breakfast, lunch and dinner (with rice of course). Fortunately, I'll eat almost anything. Unfortunately, I'm not content with cornbeef and eggs as my only choice. Here's my attempt at keeping him fed and me at least minimally satisfied.

Rating System

I love ALL these recipes. They would all get 4 or 5 stars for me. So this rating system is really how my picky husband rates the meal.

5 star - REALLY LOVES it (eats ALL leftovers)

4 star - LOVES it (eats most leftovers)

3 star - LIKES it (enjoys it but doesn't really want leftovers)

2 star - DOESN'T LIKE it (at least he tried it!)

1 star - HATES it (won't try; chooses to eat leftovers instead)
